VP Biden says he expects Guantanamo Bay to close before end of Obama’s term
On Thursday Vice President Joe Biden said he expects that the Guantanamo Bay detention center will be shuttered before President Barack Obama’s second term ends. During a trip to Sweden, Biden told reporters that it is his “hope and expectation” that Guantanamo Bay would close before he and President Obama leave office in January, as reported by the Daily News.
