Sony to Sell Limited Edition High-Res Hatsune Miku Headphones

Sony opened a pre-order page for its Hatsune Miku h.ear on high-resolution headphones. The original smartphone compatible headphones feature a folding design, bright colors, and cost US$199.99.

The Hatsune Miku editions come in the "Miku Model" and "Producer Model." The former is a viridian blue with a picture of the virtual idol on either side. The Producer Model is Bordeaux pink and has ear cover designs based around some of Hatsune Miku's better known producers. The three options are Deco*27, Mitchie M, and PinocchioP.

The Hatsune Miku h.ear on headphones cost 23,900 yen (US$235) and go on sale for two days only, October 25-26.

The headphones will be on display at the "Hatsune Miku Magical Future 2016" exhibition at Makuhari Messe from September 9-11. Sony stores in Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka will also feature the headphones followed by Ginza store on September 24. The store locations will have a limited supply on hand for sale.

Sony has previously created limited edition Hatsune Miku Walkman and other electronic devices, many of which quickly sold out.
