Prosecutors allege that Russell Bertram stood to gain more than $900,000 in insurance money following the death of 26-year-old Leonila Stickney.
“Doesn’t matter, I’m out,” Johanna Boratko said at the meeting. “I’ll dismiss myself because [you’re] a bunch of — ” Then Boratko used a couple of obscenities.
The man was taken to a hospital after the encounter, according to reports.
The 77-year-old gunman, who lived at the senior facility, later killed himself, Cheyenne police said.
“I’m allowed to have my feelings, right, wrong or indifferent,” Billy Pitner said.
“It’s just who we are in Louisiana. We help people in times of need,” David Phung told the Associated Press. “I was put in that place to help her out.”
Cecil Tinker-Smith was killed in 2014. His mother was just convicted of aiding and abetting a felon in possession of a firearm.
“I’m so proud that I got to be his dad for seven and a half years,” Jay Siltzer said. “I am blessed. It’s not about what we’re not having; it’s about what we had.”
The suicide occurred immediately after Mike De Nardo was informed that he was suspended from his duties as part of an ongoing investigation into a personnel issue.
