Q. How do I become a member of the Encyclopaedia Britannica Store?

As a registered Encyclopaedia Britannica Store member, you can review your order history and billing information on file. You will always have the opportunity to view and change your personal account information online for simplified ordering and speedy checkout. After you have clicked the "Proceed to Checkout" button in your shopping cart, you can create an account on the next screen by choosing to continue as a guest and filling out your contact information. The e-mail address you provided for this first order will be your Login ID. (Please note that Britannica Online members are not automatically members of the Britannica Store. These services each have unique log-in IDs and passwords.)

Q. How do I update my account information on the Encyclopaedia Britannica Store?

Simply go to the Customer Login page on the Britannica Store site to view your Account Details and Order History. Your E-mail Address (Login) and Password are required to log in.

Review Your Order History

You can review the status of any order you have placed with the Encyclopaedia Britannica Store. For orders that have yet to ship, you will be able to review billing address, shipping address, payment status, fulfillment status, and order total. To review your order history, you must first log in into the Customer Login page of the Encyclopaedia Britannica Store.

Update Your Account Details

If you need to update your billing address, it is easy to change that information online through My Account.

Q. Why is my Encyclopaedia Britannica account not recognized?

The Britannica Store uses different accounts and log-in information than the Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Premium (our subscription service at http://www.britannica.com). If your account is not recognized by the Britannica Store, you can create a new account on the next screen after you click "Proceed to Checkout" in your shopping cart.

Q. How do I resolve a collections issue for a past Encyclopaedia Britannica purchase?

Encyclopaedia Britannica refers all delinquent accounts to a collection agency, EMCC. If you need to resolve a collections issue, you need to contact EMCC at 1-800-880-8899. After Encyclopaedia Britannica has referred a delinquent account to the collection agency, Encyclopaedia Britannica no longer has any control of the delinquent account. Therefore, the collection agency (EMCC) must be contacted directly.

Q. How do I get Technical Support for Encyclopaedia Britannica products?

If you require assistance with a technical issue for any Britannica software title, you can visit our Technical Support website, http://support.britannica.com.

Q. What happens if I order a product that was incorrectly priced?

The Encyclopaedia Britannica Store has made every effort to ensure the accuracy of product information and descriptions. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical, photographic, or technical error, the Encyclopaedia Britannica Store reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price. The Encyclopaedia Britannica Store will have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged.
