Power Bank - Built-in Battery
We need our devices charged at all times. That's why smrtFOB comes with a built-in battery that'll extend your phone's battery up to an additional 5 hours:

Sometimes you need more juice, am I right? Whether its for travelling or a heavy day of meetings, smrtFOB can easily add more battery by plugging in a battery booster module which adds up to an additional 7 hours on top of the 5 hours of built-in battery, giving you up to 12 hours total

We created a beautiful charging surface using state-of-the-art Rezence wireless charging technology, so you can drop your keys onto it in either orientation and without any fuss and your smrtFOB will always be charged and ready for you to use when you leave your house. You can also plug your phone and a module into smrtFOB and place it on the charging surface for all of them to charge
Intelligent Notifications - Charge Reminders
If you’re someone who loses their keys or doesn't always put them in the same place, we’ve got you covered! We’ve created a smrtFOB app, which will recognize when you get home (or another preset location) and that your smrtFOB isn’t charging and send you a reminder to charge it
Intelligent Notifications - Calendar-based suggestions
With our patent-pending breakthrough intelligent notifications, smrtFOB can connect to your calendar and suggest modules to bring with you based on your schedule: like if you’re travelling the next day or have a heavy day of meetings, it can suggest you bring extra battery modules with you.
Key-Tracking
If you can’t find your keys, no problem! smrtFOB will even help you locate them using our key-tracking features built right into our app. Take advantage of our proximity radar OR map-based location tracking

For all the innovators out there, we're excited to introduce you to our friends at Eve Labs who specialize in teaching kids and adults the basics of hardware. They will be creating the first development-kit module, so beginners and pros alike can build their own custom modules for smrtFOB

We’re a team of dedicated tech-enthusiasts, engineers and creatives looking to truly innovate and improve people's lives through design and technology. After successfully launching our first product on Kickstarter, delivering it and speaking with our customers at length, we knew there was a huge opportunity to offer a solution to a problem that no one was addressing: that we all have too many gadgets to remember to charge and bring with us and making our lives even a little simpler and easier was a universal want that we knew we could solve.
We joined the District 3 Incubator at Concordia University over two years ago and have put together an incredibly talented team, mentors, coaches and business partners to help ensure that an amazing product gets delivered to you, our backers. Our supply chain is in place and the prototypes on this page and in our video have been manufactured by our suppliers who we’ll be using for mass production, and now we just need your support to bring smrtFOB to market and change the way we charge technology forever.

Additionally, shipping to any country outside North America could potentially be delayed or cancelled depending on the feasibility of local product approval and/or certification requirements and/or local import regulations. In the event of cancellation, your pledge will be refunded to you.
This project is promoted by Jellop, a direct response online advertising agency specializing in Kickstarter campaigns on Facebook Ads and Google AdWords.
Risks and challenges
Delivering a high-quality, premium product with unparalleled user-experience to our backers is our ONLY priority. Our focus has been on putting in place a reliable supply-chain and contingency planning to ensure prompt delivery and mitigate risk for our backers. Our strategy is three-fold:
1) Built functional prototypes using the manufacturers who will be mass producing the product for us post-Kickstarter. This front-loaded the risk of manufacturing by necessitating that technical roadblocks would be overcome prior to our Kickstarter campaign
2) Sent our production team to Shenzhen, China in June 2016 to meet with our manufacturing partners and contingency plan by locating backup suppliers in the event of manufacturing issues post-Kickstarter
3) Joined District 3 Incubator, made strategic partnerships with experts in supply-chain and built an amazing team here in Canada with the technical expertise to assist our manufacturing partners in the event of unforeseen challenges post-Kickstarter
We now have preliminary agreements with our manufacturers and have working prototypes in hand. We will no doubt face challenges relating to mass-production and shipping and logistics, but we have gone through these challenges before in delivering our first product and are certain we will overcome whatever challenges we face ahead of us.
