There are many different types of gifts to consider:
Individual donations
A gift of cash allows you to receive an income tax deduction and enables you to help meet the immediate needs of families in your community.
Memorial and honor gifts
Many individuals and families who have been helped or have been touched by someone in need wish to give to the Jay Fund. Some make ongoing contributions in memory of a loved one. To commemorate special occasions, in Honor gifts are a thoughtful way to observe a loved one’s birthday, anniversary, a special occasion, or other important event. Whether contributing online or by check, please include the names and addresses of family members you would like us to notify.
Matching gifts
Many employers have matching gift programs through which your generosity to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation can be multiplied. Please obtain the appropriate form from your company’s personnel office and include it with your gift.
Gifts of stock and appreciated securities
Gifts of appreciated securities can be donated directly to the Jay Fund and may help you avoid capital gains taxes. You can receive a tax deduction for the full value of the gift. The benefits of giving securities include: A charitable deduction based on the market value of the security on the date of the gift and no payment of capital gains tax on the appreciated value of securities.

Creative avenues
Future gifts through estate plans are one of the simplest methods of supporting the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund. It’s as easy as changing the beneficiary on an IRA or life insurance policy, or remembering the Jay Fund through a charitable bequest in your will or trust.
