Arena Profile: Boris Epshteyn

Boris Epshteyn is a Republican political strategist, investment banker and finance attorney currently living in New York City. Mr. Epshteyn summarizes his political views in 6 words: Small Government, Low Taxes and National Security.

Mr. Epshteyn was a Communications Aide with the McCain-Palin campaign where he coordinated nationwide communications and spent time both at the Arlington, Virginia campaign headquarters and in Anchorage, Alaska. While at the campaign, he was a key part of a rapid response task force which concentrated on issues related to the Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Further, he worked on media relations, prevention of widespread voter fraud and diverse legal topics.

Mr. Epshteyn has extensive relationships with top GOP political operatives, providing him with unique access inside the 2012 Presidential race. Mr. Epshteyn writes for the opinion section of US News & World Report and is a contributor to The Daily Caller. He is also is a regular guest on CNN, MSNBC, FOXNews, CNBC and radio programs nationwide providing analysis on topics including political strategy, financial markets, international affairs, future elections and party relations.

He is currently a Managing Director of Business and Legal Affairs at a boutique investment bank concentrating on private placements, public offerings and venture capital transactions.

Mr. Epshteyn graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and is an attorney licensed in New York and New Jersey with expertise in finance, bankruptcy and international law.

He has been involved in researching, writing and publishing numerous scholarly articles with the Georgetown Journal of International Law. Mr. Epshteyn emigrated to the United States in 1993 from Moscow, Russia, is a fluent Russian speaker and is very well-versed in all aspects of current events, history, economics and international politics.
