Scimeca Knierim started skating at age 7 ... Previously skated with Ivan Dimitrov (2011-12) ... Previously coached by Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova (2009-11), Maria Jezak-Athey (2008-09), Trish Cazeau Brown and Sergei Telenkov (1998-2008).

Knierim started competing at age 12 ... Previously skated with Andrea Poapst (2011-12), Carolyn-Ann Alba (2010), Brynn Carman (2007-09) and Shawnee Smith (2006) ... Previously coached by Eddie Shipstad (2007), Chea Hutton-Chitwood (2005-06), Linda Alexander (2006) and Marty Martino (2005).

PERSONAL NOTES

Married June 26, 2016 ... Have two cats named Scarlet and Muffy and two dogs named Cami and Diesel.

Scimeca Knierim earned an associate degree in general studies from College of DuPage (Glen Ellyn, Illinois) in 2014 ... Parents are Tom and Tina ... Has one sister, Alivia, and one brother, Derek.  

Knierim earned an associate degree in diesel mechanics from Pikes Peak Community College (Colorado Springs, Colorado) in 2015.
