In May 1969, Mr. C. Y. Tang, a student of the Science Faculty of the United College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, donated his father´s collection of 56 pieces of rare oracle bones to the College according to the instruction of his mother. The collection is now kept in the University Library, and this is the largest collection of its kinds in Hong Kong.

In 2015, Mr. Gabriel Ng, CUHK Anthropology Year 3 student, did a research on this collection in collaboration with the United College Wu Chung Multimedia Library and the Conversation Office of Leisure and Cultural Service Department. The study was reported in United News 2015/4, pp.19-20 - Glorious United Man.
