Taylor Swift released the third single off her new pop-oriented album “1989” overnight, revealing yesterday afternoon that the song is the lead track. “I wanted to start the album with this song because New York has been an important landscape and location for the story of my life for the last couple of years. The inspiration that I found in that city is hard to describe.”
