I'm also "Gene Hunt" on Flickr. Most of the pics are already on my Flickr page.....some are exclusively here for Google Earth and will also appear on Flickr in due course ;)
Nice photo (and all you Wythenshawe ones). The shops look a bit different from when I used to go there. I heard Lomond road shops were also getting a face lift. Any chance of you posting a recent snapshot of them too? Thanks.
Great shot! It's amazing to see Manchester from 30 odd miles away!
If you happen to be at The Wrekin outside Telford, or even Snowdonia in Wales and if weather conditons are excellent you MIGHT be able to get some cracking views of Winter Hill and Manchester from there (though it's a long shot especially with Snowdonia which is 81 miles! LOL)

WythenshaweMike's conversations
Didn't they use one of these buses in 'Life on Mars'? Great photos btw!
Such a pity he wasn't kidnapped by John Stape and taken to the celler he's keeping Chesney & Charlotte's mum & dad in (May 2011).
I have now sent you a correct location suggestion.

Looks like the one that used to continue where the Royal Mail is now. That site used to be a Goods Station.
I live on that very road!

Reckon Manchester would be more visible from here if the weather conditions were a bit more clearer?
