Ballistic Glass

Ballistic glass (also known as transparent armor, or bullet-resistant glass) is a type of strong but optically transparent material that is particularly resistant to being penetrated when struck by bullets. It is usually made from a combination of two or more layers of glass, polycarbonate and thermoplastic. Ballistic glass starts in thickness of 15mm up to 220mm.

Functions of the Factory

The factory builds and produces ballistic glass to protect architectural buildings, civil urban cars & military vehicles. The Glass is optimized from clear float glass, heat treated and designed based on custom sizes & OEM designs, to adapt to different levels of protection. The glass passes through different phases before reaching the customer after being approved by the design team:

• Cutting (manually or with a CNC)
• Washing
• Grinding & polishing
• Printing
• Lamination
• Bending (for curved glass used on cars)
• Autoclave (for bonding the glass)
• Quality control checkup
