Some donors like to give only to children’s causes like hunger or education. Others, to those who focus on unemployed women or programs like providing clean water. Because we work with a whole community, we do all these things and more.

Our U.S.-based team is entirely volunteer (including covering most smaller operating costs out of our own pockets) and we don’t rent a space, which makes our overhead very low. We also have for-profit ventures that cover the bulk of what overhead we do have–mostly marketing & operating fees–such that we can safely say that 95% or more of contributions go directly to the program itself.
You’d be amazed actually at how much of a difference even a little bit can make. Here are a few examples:
- $15 can buy medicine for one of our older community members
- $25 can buy a school uniform for a student (or much needed supplies for a teacher)
- $50 can pay for a teacher’s salary for a month
- $100 can buy school lunch for one child for one school year
