Raumbandoneon Tangosaurus
2013
KlangFoyer, Landestheater Linz

© Markus Rössle

In his installative work Raumbandoneon Tangosaurus, Constantin Luser pays tribute to the bandoneon, a fascinating instrument creating magical sounds. This installation is, in turn, also an instrument: While playable in the conventional way, the sound is controlled by a computer which transferres the sound into more than 110 wooden sound-boxes, that are activated by compressed air. At the same time, one can experience the world’s first two bandoneons that can be played digitally. Visitors to the SoundFoyer at the Landestheater Linz can bring to life their own sound creations or play with pre-recorded musical material.
