In a typical year my wife and I shoot between 3,000 and 5,000 photos. Occasionally, and often by chance, we take one that is surprisingly satisfying.
Most of our photos are of family and pets. These we mostly keep in our private collections. We have over 40,000 digital and digitized photos, of which almost 10,000 were scanned from prints and negatives dating as far back as 1925.
Every photo is packed with metadata, including faces, names, date taken, where it was taken and the GPS coordinates. The photo naming convention I use is “yyyy-mm-dd – hh.mm.ss.jpg”. This format is adapted as necessary for scanned images. I keep multiple backups, in multiple locations, and on different media types.
Bob Linsdell's conversations
It's my best guess of the general area. It was taken in May of 1989 at a farm/tea house, while on our way from Stanway House to Harwell Village in Oxfordshire. (I've removed the Harwell piece as it was misleading). Thanks
