Austyn Crites, the man detained at a Nevada rally for Donald Trump, may have lived and worked in LaPorte County.

Austyn Crites' LinkedIn page says he is the founder of Panberri, an "aerospace inflatable design and manufacturing" company based in Reno, Nevada that was started in 2014. It adds he attended the University of Chicago's business school from 2007 to 2009 and that he went to the University of Nevada from 2002 to 2005.

WSBT 22 featured a man by the same name in a story about a LaPorte County company called Rockzip Highballoonss seeking to build high-altitude balloons. The story, from 2014, said that company was just started and raising money through Kickstarter.com. The Kickstarter page said the company launched in Michigan City and exceeded its goal of raising $15,000.

Crites was released from detainment by 7:25 p.m. Saturday. The Secret Service and the Reno Police Department are still conducting an investigation.
