Established in May 2014, the church is growing and reaching out to a community with the love of and compassion of Jesus. At Bodmin Elim, our aim is to pioneer new growth and see the love those who have grown spiritually cold rekindled through outreach in the town.
The history of Bodmin goes back to the 6th Century AD when St Petroc arrived on the shores of ‘Rock’ near Padstow. Traveling inland he settled in Bodmin where he took over a monastic settlement then run by a prayerful hermit named St Guron. Bodmin itself is a beautiful traditional town situated in the heart and centre of Cornwall and in the centuries which followed, Bodmin became the centre of Christianity in the County. At Bodmin Elim we desire to see a thriving centre for Christianity once again.
Our Bodmin church currently meets at the BCA Rooms in the heart of Bodmin next to the Shire Hall. We meet here every Sunday at 10.30am.
There is car parking behind the building in Fore Street Car Park. At the moment it is free to park here on Sundays. There is disabled parking available in this large car park and if you phone ahead and we are happy to reserve a space for you.
