Most headaches occur occasionally and can be treated effectively by eating, resting or taking over-the-counter painkiller medication. Migraines are the most common neurological condition and affect more women than men. A small percentage of people who have migraines also experience aura symptoms. These visual disturbances may include blind spots, flashing lights, zigzag patterns or tingling, pins and needles and numbness of limbs.
