Abstract

Foliar application of NaCl to sodium-deficient Panicum coloratum stimulated photosynthesis, as did application via roots. Effects of sodium on photosynthetic responses to internal concentrations of CO2 under different light intensities and initial products of 14CO2 fixation suggested that CO2 fixation and amination of oxalacetate were limited by sodium deficiency.
