President-elect Donald Trump will reportedly outlaw the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States.
Trump’s foreign policy adviser Walid Pheres told the Egyptian news site Youm 7 that Trump will back a bill introduced a year ago by U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and that was held up by the Obama administration due to its support for the Islamist organization.
Cruz proposed not only to ban the Muslim Brotherhood but also its offshoots, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and Islamic Society of North America.

The Muslim Brotherhood is also banned by Russia and several Arab countries including Egypt, which outlawed the organization after the coup that brought President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to power.
Former Rep. Michele Bachmann, who introduced similar legislation during her last term in office, told WND that such action is long overdue.
“First, it is imperative to know the enemy. The fundamental purpose of the Muslim Brotherhood is to supplant all societal structures, even in non-Islamic countries like the United States, with Islamic Shariah law,” Bachman said during the interview with WND.

When Bachmann introduced her version of the bill in 2012, she said Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s top aide, was a Muslim Brotherhood agent.
“Across the U.S. are Muslim Brotherhood front groups which need to be exposed and dismantled. The Muslim brotherhood’s goals include the overthrow of our constitutional republic,” said Bachman.
In President Trump, we have someone willing to recognize America’s enemies and defeat them. This is welcome and long overdue, she added.
WND also spoke with Dr. Mark Christian, a former imam who converted to Christianity and founded the Global Faith Institute.

He said the Muslim Brotherhood was invited into the White House by the Clintons in 1996 and has been ensconced there ever since. Every president since, including George W. Bush, has hosted Ramadan dinners and offered praise of Islam as a religion of peace.'
Since 1996, the Muslim Brotherhood has been introduced into our government, into our military, and into our religious organizations under the cover of interfaith dialogue, and so designating the Brotherhood as a terrorist organization is a very good first step, but it is way bigger than that,” Christian added.
He called the Muslim Brotherhood a cancer that has spread to both the Republican and Democratic Party.
“You are talking about not just an organization. You are talking about a cancer that was implanted into the U.S. government more than a decade ago,” Christian told WND.
“The cancer has been expanding ever since. With the election of Trump, you are talking about winning against the Bushes, the Obamas and the Clintons,” he said.
“When it comes to Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood, they are all on the same page. So you go back to 1996 and see how that cancer was implanted,” Christian added.
“Jamie Glazov, host of the YouTube channel the Glazov Gang, believes Trump should make outlawing the Brotherhood a top priority,” WND reported.
“We know CAIR was involved in this financing of terror. We also know that ISNA, we know that the North American Islamic Trust, these Muslim Brotherhood front groups, were involved in terror financing, and so we were on the verge, America was on the verge, of going after these front groups and taking them out of business. … What did Eric Holder do? He stopped, he prevented the investigation and also the prosecution of these groups,” Glazov was quoted as saying.
Holder was attorney general of the U.S. from 2009 until 2015.
Glazov said the Muslim Brotherhood has penetrated the White House under Obama and is framing its foreign policy and domestic policy in terms of Islamic supremacism.
He expects Trump will pick up the fight against CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood front groups.
The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt by Hasan al-Banna in 1928 and became internationally active in the 1970s. It now has affiliates in 70 countries where the introduction of Sharia law is the ultimate goal.
The writings of Sayyid Qutb, the ideologue of the Muslim Brotherhood, inspired contemporary Islamist movements such as Hamas, the Islamic State and al-Qaeda.
The current leader of al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, is an Qutb adherent. He says that Qutb started the Islamic revolution against the enemies of Islam in the Middle East and beyond.
Al-Zawahiri fully endorses Qutb’s view that the establishment of the kingdom of Allah on earth cannot be achieved through prayer and preaching alone. In order to reach this goal, it is necessary that those who did not recognize Allahs authority should be killed.
