Farewell Message from Senator Wolk

As my time in the legislature draws to a close, I wanted to take a few moments to reflect on the 14 years I have spent serving you in the California Senate and Assembly. This was a time of progress, change and accomplishment, and I couldn’t have done any of it without your support.

It’s hard to sum up my 26 years of public service. I spent these years doing what I loved – serving my community by solving problems large and small – in partnership with my colleagues in local government and residents. In representing 7 counties in Northern California and the Central Valley over the years, I discovered the richness and variety of this beautiful state.

Our efforts together have helped our community to move forward, to make things better in so many areas.

I am proud of the work we have done together and while I have enjoyed my years in the legislature and in local government, I am looking forward to retirement. As I said to my colleagues on the Senate floor during the final night of session, “It’s been a great ride!”

Best wishes,

Lois Wolk
Senator, 3rd District
