After you report your first two continued weekly Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims, you will be able to check the status of your UI claim for benefits online at https://uiclaims.iwd.iowa.gov/weeklyclaims or by calling 1-800-850-5627 and selecting the option to “Check on the Status of Your Claim.”
You will be able to review the following information:
- The last week claimed (if any)
- When the last UI payment was issued
- Amount of the UI payment
- Remaining balance
The "status of claim" option is only available 8:00 am to 4:59 pm, Tuesday through Friday. (If Monday is a holiday, the "status of claim" option is not available until Wednesday of that week).
Note: You will not be able to check the status of your UI claim if you are receiving Training Extension Benefits (TEB) or Trade Readjustment Allowance (TRA).
