Online Verification of Your Selective Service Registration

This service allows you to look up a man's Selective Service number, as well as the date he registered. You will need to enter a last name, social security number, and date of birth for the registered man.
 
NOTE:  Only registrations of men born on or after January 1, 1960, can be verified through this online system.

When you enter your information using the online "Verify Now" and if all your information entered matches the information on file, the results will indicate you are successfully registered with the Selective Service System.

Official Letter of Verification: At this point of the online verification step, you have the option to print an official letter of verification from Selective Service.

After you register, you are required to notify Selective Service within ten days of any changes to any of the information you provided on your registration card, like a change of address. You must report address changes until January 1 of the year you turn 26. You may do this by using the online "Submit Address Change" form below. Or, you can complete a change of address form (SSS Form 2) available at the post office, or call 1-847-688-6888.

This form is for people interested in verifying Selective Service registration of men born on or after January 1, 1960.
 
For Multiple Verifications — To process multiple Selective Service registration verifications at one time requires using verification web service. This service allows you to look up men's Selective Service registration number, as well as the date they registered. It is assumed that you are familiar with web services and understand terminology such as HTTPS, GET, POST, WSDL, UDDI, SOAP, etc.

Send a request for verification web service to Information@sss.gov. Selective Service will vet and screen requests on a case by case basis.
