The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began the SR-232, from 1425 North to SR-193, project in May 2016. The project is replacing the asphalt with concrete north of Antelope Drive and with asphalt south of Antelope Drive. Additionally, the project is upgrading the pedestrian facilities to bring them into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
INCLUDED IMPROVEMENTS
• Removing 6” of the existing asphalt and replacing it with concrete north of Antelope Drive.
• Removing 3" of the existing asphalt and replacing it with asphalt south of Antelope Drive.
• Pedestrian ramps will be upgraded to comply with current ADA requirements.
• Spot replacement of curb & gutters and sidewalk
• Vehicle detection will be added at the signal
• Drainage upgrades
Lanes have now reopened south of Antelope Drive. Intermiitent single lane restrictions will be in place south of Antelope Drive through early December. Work north of Antelope Drive will continue through December. All dates are weather dependent.
