The DWR Public Affairs Office is the primary point of contact for news media, organizations and the general public seeking information about DWR's programs. Primary responsibilities include internal and external communications, media relations, public outreach and education, graphic design, audio and photographic services, special events and foreign visitor tours.

Water Education and Outreach Branch

The Water Education and Outreach Branch works to educate the public about a multitude of California water issues through special events and other outreach activities. Water education and water safety materials are made available to schools and the public and are included in DWR displays and exhibits at events throughout the state.

Graphic Services Branch

The Graphic Services Branch provides multi-media production services for the Public Affairs Office's publications, exhibits and displays. Their services include graphic design, drafting, photography, video production, and audio-visual assistance.

These services are also available to other organizations within DWR at no charge and to other State agencies.
