To obtain the juris number for an attorney or law firm, select Attorney/Firm Look-up.

To see case lists for a specific attorney or law firm, select Attorney/Firm Case List and enter the juris number.

To see information on a specific case, you can:

1. Select Docket Number Search and enter the docket number for the case, including the three-letter location code, the type of case (Civil - CV or Family - FA), the case year, and the seven-digit number that follows the year.

2. Select Party Name Search and enter the name or a portion of the name of any party in the case.

Note: Case records for housing matters filed (1) in Danbury and Middlesex are available online only for cases filed on or after January 1, 2014 and (2) in Norwich, only for cases filed on or after November 1, 2014. Case records for summary process (eviction) matters that were filed before March 1, 2016 in the Housing SessionsLink will open in new window can be found only using Housing Sessions Case Look-UpLink will open in new window. Case records for housing matters filed in Derby, New London, Danielson, and Bantam are not available online at this time.

Select Court Events by Date or Court Events by Juris Number to see case information about court events, including pretrials, trial management conferences or trials, displayed by date of the event or by juris number.

Case information is updated as the information is entered into the case management system, although information on scheduled events is updated nightly.

Notice: Case information is generally shown on this website for no less than 1 year and no more than 10 years after the disposition date unless Sections 7-10 and 7-11 Connecticut Practice Book provide for a shorter period of time, in which case this information will be shown for the shorter period of time. If a motion is filed after a case has been decided, for example, a motion to modify a support order in a family case, the time the case is shown on this website may be extended for 11 more months. Please note that cases will be removed from the website one month before the end of the period you might find in the Connecticut Practice Book. Under the Federal Violence Against Women Act of 2005, cases for relief from physical abuse, foreign protective orders, and motions that would be likely to publicly reveal the identity or location of a protected party may not be displayed and may be available only at the courts.
