San Antonio Attorneys and Visitors

Recently the John H. Wood, Jr. United States Courthouse experienced a fire sprinkler water line break that damaged four rooms within the courthouse. In order to ensure the safety of all who work in and visit the courthouse we retained the services of a specialist to collect and test water samples.

This private entity found that the water in some (but not all) water fountains and water faucets in the building contained unacceptable levels of lead and bacteria. These tests were shared with our landlord, the General Services Administration (GSA). GSA then contacted the Federal Occupational Health (FOH) agency. The FOH collected and tested their own samples and confirmed that some (but not all) water fountains and water faucets have unsafe levels of lead in the water. Those water fountains and faucets have now been removed from service.

Additional testing is being conducted to determine the full nature of the problem along with actions that can be taken to remedy this situation. In the interim, members of the bar may bring their own water bottles into the Courthouse. To assist the Marshal's Office with security issues, please bring only clear plastic bottles.

We will provide updated information when available.

Posted: 6/18/2015
You've received a warrant by fax or email saying a federal law enforcement officer or an attorney for the government wants to arrest you. Charges may be for money laundering or bank fraud, or missed jury duty. To avoid arrest, the warrant says, send money.

It's a scam!
