- 12 Jul 16 Annex 3-2 Irregular Warfare
- 28 Apr 16 Annex 3-27 Homeland Operations
- 28 Apr 16 Annex 3-13 Information Operations
- 05 Apr 16 Annex 3-40 Counter WMD Operations
- Updated to reflect current practices by changing the name to “Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Operations”
- Complete rewrite of the annex (restructure, content, and consolidation of doctrine topic modules—from 40 to 11)
- This revision reflects changes in the 2014 DOD Strategy for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, AF policy, HAF WMD Council priorities, as well as changes in the Joint Publication.
- The revision was delayed until after the National Defense Strategy for countering WMD and Joint Publication 3-40 were both completed (October 2014).
- Completely re-written since its last revision in 2013 reflecting changes in Information Operations
- Considerable clarification of terminology as reflected in the 2014 update to Joint Publication 3-13, Information Operations
- A doctrine module on “Signature Management” has been added.

- Hyperlinks to appropriate primary source documents added/ updated as appropriate
- Discussion of CDRUSSOCOM responsibilities updated
- Terminology and abbreviations updated throughout
- This revision was completely rewritten since the 2013 version.
- New edition shortened by 30%, removing redundancy and wordiness
