I need to print out my certification.

First you must make sure you are logged into RIDEmap. Then, in the eCert Educator Portal, go to the correspondence tab. You will see a PDF icon next to your teacher certificate. Click the on the document name. The document name will be underlined when you hover over it with the mouse. Click on the underlined name and the document will open so that you can print your certificate.

Please note: If your cert ID is not associated with your RIDEmap account, you will be unable to access My eCert.

I need to obtain/renew/check on my certification.

The new certification system, My eCert, is up and running on RIDEmap. After you login to RIDEmap, click on the My eCert link on the right-hand side.

You can easily view and print your application from My eCert.

If you had a certification that expired in August, 2015, you will need to submit a paper application for reinstatement at this time in order to renew that certification.

We are hoping to have the online application process fully ready in 2016. At this time, all new applicants must apply using a paper application, and only Initial and Professional certifications can be renewed online in My eCert. Certificates of Eligibility for Employment (CEE) and Substitute Certifications must be applied for and renewed using a paper application. Also, School Nurse Teacher certifications cannot be renewed online, since a copy of your nursing license must be included with the application. Certifications that expire August, 2016 became eligible for online renewal shortly after January 1, 2016.

You can visit the Office of Educator Quality and Certification to access certification applications. The applications can be mailed or personally delivered to:

My temporary password is not working.

How to reset your password

Please make sure when you are entering your temporary password, that you are not including any additional spaces or characters. A common error, when copying and pasting, is to copy a space before or after the password by mistake. A space invalidates the temporary password. Each time you have 5 unsuccessful login attempts, your account will lock for 15 minutes. We cannot unlock a soft-locked account. Eventually, with many unsuccessful login attempts, your account will hard lock and you will be required to contact us in order to unlock your account.

Make sure that your new password you are creating meets 3 out of 4 of the following criteria:

  • Uppercase characters (A through Z)
  • Lowercase characters (a through z)
  • Digits (0 through 9)
  • Special characters ( {}[],.<>;:'"?/|`~!@#$%&*()_-+= )

I am unable to login to RIDEmap
  • If you received an email from RIDE with a temporary password, please click the "Please click here" link in that email, and follow the instructions in order to verify your account and create a new password.

  • If you have already verified your account, but have forgotten your password, you can click the "Forgot your password?" link on the RIDEmap homepage. Please note: This link will only work for you if you have previously logged into your account and answered three security questions.

  • If you are unsure as to what your password is, and you have never logged into your RIDEmap account, please submit a ticket so that we can reset your password and send you a temporary password.

If these suggestions did not resolve your issue, or you were instructed to contact a system administrator on one of these screens, please submit a Helpdesk ticket to our team, describing your issue.

I need to look at my evaluations/SLOs/PGG from a previous year.
  1. Log into RIDEmap
  2. Click on the EPSS link
  3. Click on the Evaluation Summary Folder on the left hand side of the screen under Educator Info.
  4. When the folder opens click on Evaluation Summary.
  5. Choose which school year's forms/evaluations you want to view.
  6. This will bring up all of your evaluation documents for the chosen year. You can click on the plus sign to open any folder. You can then click on the form.
