What You Should Know:
- The Georgia Land Conservation Program accepts loan applications from cities and counties to protect land, minimize erosion and encourage outdoor recreation. Applications are accepted all year and are considered at quarterly meetings. The program also offers tax credits for property owners who preserve land.
- The Georgia Fund Loan Program supports water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure improvements. Loans are available at a low-interest rate for a maximum of 20 years.
- The Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) provides funding for a variety of wastewater infrastructure and pollution prevention projects, including water quality, water conservation and wastewater treatment projects. Loans are available at a low interest rate for a maximum of 20 years.
- The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) provides funding for drinking water infrastructure projects, including a wide variety of public health related water supply projects or projects that address a compliance-related problem. Loans are available at a low-interest rate for a maximum of 20 years.
- The Reservoir and Water Supply Fund helps local governments plan for future water supply needs.
