It’s been a while since I went to the salon so I was in desperate need of a bang trim! My Bettie bangs were starting to look like emo bangs; I could hardly see. I usually alternate my bang trims between at-home and salon. I have been avoiding my at-home trim simply because I haven’t had time, but my little man was having a sleepover with his Nonnie and Papa, so it was the perfect time to whip out the sheers and fix my Bettie bangs.
My hair has this lovely trick where, when it gets too long, it starts to go wavy. You can see my pre-bang part (slightly off-center, on the left side of the picture) is starting to reappear and my hair is curving accordingly. You can see the lovely wave in my “before” picture. My hair still does whatever it wants, no matter the length, but its a bit more manageable when its shorter. I don’t have enough practice trimming my own Bettie bangs that they come out consistent every time I do it. I get pretty different results each time I try, but you know what they say; practice makes perfect.
I have found that online tutorials help me figure our exactly what to do. I prefer this tutorial from BettieJoe88 on YouTube which covers how to trim and style Bettie bangs.
I want my bangs to look like hers at some point. Patience…and practice…and lots more practice!
