'I felt badly beaten up': Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump reveals how she almost didn't sign on for the seventh season

She's become a prominent fixture on reality TV, debuting on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

But Lisa Vanderpump has revealed in the December issue of FOXTEL magazine, that she almost didn't sign on for the seventh season, set to air in Australia next month.

'I felt badly beaten up,' the 56-year-old shared to the publication, referring to the treatment she experienced from the ladies in the sixth season.

'I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back for the seventh season,' Lisa candidly revealed.

'I had a lot of discussions [with production] because I felt badly beaten up last season.

'A couple of the other women [not named] just didn't stop - they were relentless. I felt it wasn't a good season and not a place I wanted to go back to,' she continued.

Lisa's candid comments come just prior to the Australian premiere of the seventh season, scheduled for December seventh.

The British restaurateur and her husband Ken Todd have appeared in each season, since the Beverly Hills franchise debuted in 2010.

Lisa became a breakout star, with a spin-out show in Vanderpump Rules, detailing the day-to-day activities in her restaurant SUR in West Hollywood.

The author also starred in the US version of Dancing With The Stars in 2013.

Lisa Vanderpump will star in the seventh season alongside fellow housewives Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson.

New housewives are Dorit Kemsley and friend Eden Sassoon.
