Opening for a Senior Nuclear Theorist

The Physics Department at BNL is seeking an outstanding theoretical physicist with a well-established research record to play a leading role in the Laboratory’s Nuclear Theory research program in Quantum Chromodynamics, associated with RHIC and future possibilities at an EIC. The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate grade level dependent upon depth and breadth of relevant knowledge and skills she or he brings to the position, as well as the amount of relevant experience.

The candidate should have experience working on the motivation of experimental programs, and the analysis and interpretation of experimental data at high energy colliders.

To formally apply, please see BNL Careers.

Also, please send your Curriculum Vitae, with the names of three or more potential referees, to Dorothy Davis. At this stage, no letters of recommendation are required.

Applications will be considered after November 1, 2016, but applications will be considered until the position is filled.

Informal inquiries are welcome, and should be directed to Raju Venugopalan, head of the Nuclear Theory Group, or to any other of Senior Staff of the Group.
