Hello everyone. My name is Kathy Farace. I am the designer of the Exchange Heart, and I currently work as a full-time hospice counselor. Every day, I witness the deep grief of those who are missing their loved ones. As a military mom of three boys who were actively serving, I understand the challenges of a loved one being deployed or stationed away from home for years. That’s why I have learned there is no time like the present to express your love, and I developed the “A Piece of Me” Exchange Heart.  The value of this product in my work is immeasurable. It is a tangible expression of love for someone you miss.

I would also love to get these hearts in the hands of:

• Hospice patients and children fighting disease making frequent hospital visits.
• Military families separated by deployment.
• Children suffering the challenges of divorce making frequent routine visits.

Recently I gave two dozen of the hearts to a group of new recruits. The response was overwhelming!

With your help we can fund the purchase of materials at bulk cost to produce our product “The Exchange Heart” at the quantities required by my manufacturer (Totally USA made) and product packaging. You will be helping us get the Exchange Heart in the hands of those who need a meaningful connection with someone they love.
 

The Impact

The exchange heart allows you to connect with your spouse, parent, child, significant other, friend, grandchildren, siblings and more, illustrating the greatest gift that can ever be given; a piece of your heart. I have launched an LLC called Inseparable Treasures where the Exchange Heart and other products can be purchased. Our hope is that folks like yourselves not only will want one for your own exchange but you will want to purchase one to give to a military family, hospice patient or child in need.

How It Works

The Exchange Heart is a concept of giving, a piece of your heart to someone you love. The Pocket is their to hold precious mementoes you place inside such as:

• A hand written letter
• Pictures,
• Locke of hair,
• swatch of perfume/cologne
• or any small personal item you wish your loved one to have. 

You each keep half to be a tangible reminder of your loved one. Some couples keep them together tied as symbol of their relationship. Each half is also embossed with the phrase “We’ll never be apart, we’re tucked inside your heart, here for you to squeeze, A Piece of Me!”
