Evgeny Zaremba wurde am 27. Mai 1968 in Omsk geboren, wo er die Pädagogische Staatsuniversität (Fakultät für graphisches Design) 1992 seinen Abschluss machte. Der Künstler hat an regionalen, nationalen und internationalen Ausstellungen teilgenommen. Zaremba ist ein Mitglied der russischen Vereinigung von Künstlern.

Der Künstler besitzt ein hohes Niveau an symbolischer und abstrakter Wahrnehmung und erreicht visuelle Harmonie durch die Kombination der visuellen Poesie von Symbolen und der Logik von rein illustrativen Mitteln. In seinen Kompositionen lenkt Zaremba die Aufmerksamkeit des Zuschauers auf die Wechselhaftigkeit, Bewegung und Konvertierung seiner Umwelt. Er sammelt Eindrücke aus der reichen Vielfalt der Natur und verarbeitet diese zu hoch individualisierten Sehsensationen, die seine eigene Wahrnehmung der Natur, Zeit und Substanz verbildlichen.

Sergey Yashin wurde 1963 in Krasnodar geboren und absolvierte dort 1983 die Kunstschule. Seit 1991 ist der Künstler ein aktives Mitglied der russischen Künstlervereinigung und wurde auch später ein Mitglied deren Geschäftsleitung. Zwischen 1996 bis 1998 wurde er der stellvertretender Vorsitzender der russischen Künstlervereinigung für Ausstellungen und 2011 wurde er zudem zum Mitglied der russischen kreativen Künstlervereinigung gewählt.

Sergey Yashin hat an vielen nationalen und internationalen Ausstellungen teilgenommen und schon einige Auszeichnungen für seine Kunst erhalten, vor allem zwischen 2008 und 2011. Seine Werke sind sowohl in vielen Sammlung an der russischen Kunstakademie, wie auch in vielen privaten Sammlungen im Ausland zu finden.

Dmitry Shorin wurde 1971 in Novosibirsk geboren. Er hat am Departement für Grafische Kunst des M. Gosky Institut in Omsk studiert und führte sein Studium an der Omsk Akademie der Dienste mit dem Schwerpunkt Kostümdesign weiter und schloss 1990 ab. Im gleichen Jahr zog er nach St. Petersburg wo er ein weiterführendes Studium begann. In 1993 wurde er in die Künstlervereinigung aufgenommen und in 1998 trat er der UNESCO International Federation of Artists bei. Der Künstler lebt und arbeitet in St. Petersburg.

Die Arbeiten Dmitry Shorins haben einen höhen Wiedererkennungswert – beeinflusst von der Fotografie bezieht sich de Künstler auf die Bildersprache heutiger Massenmedien um die Hochglanzbilder junger, schöner Frauen umzudeuten. Die jungen Frauen die er darstellt werden fortwährend beobachtet, geschaffen für und verzehrt von der Konsumgesellschaft. Der Blick Shorins ist jedoch der des Voyeurs, der unbemerkt beobachtet.

Diese kehrte 1945 nach Leningrad/St. Petersburg zurück, wo Ovchinnikov seither lebt und arbeitet. 1961-63 arbeitete er am Kirovsky (jetzt Mariinsky) Theater unter der Leitung von K.B. Kustodiev. 1963-64 arbeitete er am Staatlichen Hermitage Museum wo er zusammen mit Mikhail Shemyakin, Vladimir Ufliand, Valery Kravchenko und Oleg Liagachev an der Ausstellung der Arbeiter der Hermitage teilnahm.

Obwohl Ovchinnikov keine klassische Ausbildung an staatlichen Kunstschulen erhielt, wurde dieser Künstler sowohl im In- wie auch im Ausland berühmt. Er ist Mitglied und derzeit stellvertretender Vorsitzender der St. Petersburger Sektion der Internationalen Künstlervereinigung.

Vladimir Ovchinnikov geniesst einen sehr hohen Bekanntheitsgrad. Die Resonanz auf und der Erfolg beim Verkauf seiner Werke an den Auktionen zeitgenössischer Kunst von Sotheby's beeindruckt. Ovchinnikov ist einer der führenden, international anerkannten Künstler der russischen Nonkonformisten und es ist ein Privileg, seine Werke zeigen und anbieten zu können.

Seine Werke unterscheiden sich deutlich von allen anderen Künstlern dieser Gruppe. So verwendet er immer Gold, was für einen russischen Künstler äusserst unüblich ist. Das Miteinbeziehen von Gold reflektiert die traditionelle Ikonographie und repräsentiert die russisch-orthodoxe Kirche. Der Bildbetrachter stellt sich somit automatisch die Frage, worin die versteckte Botschaft besteht. Dies ist ein vom Künstler gewollter Effekt.

In der Auseinandersetzung und Kontemplation mit dem Unbekannten bedient sich Ovchinnikov gerne alter Mythen und Themen aus der Bibel, was den Betrachter dazu anregt, sich mit der entsprechenden Botschaft auseinanderzusetzen. Er ersetzt dabei die Originalcharaktere der Gleichnisse mit eigenen, teils extrem närrischen oder narzisstischen Figuren. Diese Personen haben keine weitere Bedeutung, weder mythologisch noch in Bezug auf die Realität. Das Subjekt der Person bleibt fremdartig und destruktiv, steht in keinem Zusammenhang zur Positionierung durch den Künstler. Diese Bilder geben uns ein feines Beispiel für die künstlerische Interpretation der Absurdität.

Ovchinnikov's persönliches Engagement anlässlich der 1964 durchgeführten Ausstellung für Nonkonformisten in der Hermitage lässt ihn deshalb so stark in Erinnerung bleiben, weil er als Hauptexponent der Künstler gilt, die sich dem Druck des totalitären Regimes sich unterzuordnen widersetzten. Die damalige selbst benannte Ausstellung ‚Ausstellung der arbeitenden Künstler des Wirtschaftsteils der Hermitage: Hin zum 200. Jahrestag der Hermitage' wurde von den Behörden geschlossen, nicht ohne gleichzeitig grosse Aufmerksamkeit der Öffentlichkeit auf sich zu ziehen.

Dank seiner ausserordentlichen Unterstützung und Zuwendung anderer aufrührerischer Künstler dieser Zeit  blieb ihm die Anerkennung auch der jungen Generation sicher. Aufbauend auf diesen Vorkommnissen konnten sie ihren eigenen Stil entwickeln. Es entstand die Bewegung der metaphysischen Synthese. Deren Grundsatzerklärung wurde 1967 von der St. Petersburger Gruppe, der auch Shemyakin, Liagatchev und Ivanov angehörten, definiert und festgehalten

Ruben Monakhov wurde 1970 in Leningrad geboren. Seine künstlerische Ausbildung erhielt er an der Serov Kunstschule in Leningrad an der Abteilung für dekorative Grafik. Als Mitglied der Künstlervereinigung organisierte er über 10 Einzelausstellungen und nahm an zahlreichen Gruppenausstellungen teil.

Aber was sagt dies über Ruben Monakhov aus? Jedes seiner Bilder oder Werke kann mehr über ihn erzählen. Die Biografie dieses Künstlers würde im übrigen unvollständig sein ohne darauf hinzuweisen, dass Ruben Monakhov stolzer Träger eines gedrehten Schnurrbartes ist – ähnlich wie ihn auch Salvador Dali trug.

Monakhov's Malerei ist so lebendig wie er selbst. Er kreiert helle, leuchtende, fette und pastöse Szenenbilder, so wie wenn sich in seinen Stillleben immer Tomaten und Orangen finden würden. Diese Lebhaftigkeit ist auch ein Abbild der Stadtlandschaften von Helsinki, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Brücke, Prag, Vyborg, Kronstadt und natürlich Sankt Petersburg. Etwas fällt jedoch sofort auf: dieser Künstler malt nie die von den Touristenmalern bevorzugten Orte, Ansichten und Plätze von St. Petersburg. Macht er sich über den Berachter lustig oder ist er wirklich nicht an den schönsten Orten einer Stadt interessiert? Er stellt die am meisten von Smog geplagten Städte der Welt dar, aber seine Bilder sind Licht durchflutet. Diese unerwarteten Sonnenstrahlen lassen die abweisenden Industriebauten und düsteren Wohnblöcke in weichem Licht schmelzen und in Farben tauchen. Ganz in der Tradition klassischer Malerei gelingt es Monakhov meisterhaft, seine Landschaften mit ‚vorteilhaftem' Licht zu versehen. Eine gewöhnliche Untergrundstation verwandelt sich so in eine italienische Ansicht.

Als ich ein Junge war, dachte ich, dass das 21. Jhdt. in unerreichbar weit entfernter Zukunft liege. Und jetzt leben wir bereits in dieser Zukunft. Viele der damals als Science-Fiction gesehenen Dinge sind heute profane Realität.

Aber hat es die Menschen glücklicher gemacht? Der moderne Mensch ist so übersättigt mit visuellen Eindrücken, dass er seine Fähigkeit, sich zu wundern, verloren hat. Die Möglichkeit der visuellen Nachahmung hat eine solche Perfektion erreicht, dass absolut nichts mehr nicht machbar erscheint.

Aber hat es die Menschen achtsamer werden lassen? Die Bewohner des 21. Jhdt.'s eilen durch das Leben, wie wenn sie auf der Flucht wären. Bilder und Erlebnisse rasen wie ein unendliches Band an ihnen vorbei und nur die auffallendsten und schreiendsten, neuesten und aussergewöhnlichsten Impulse werden von ihrer Aufmerksamkeit wahrgenommen. Aber nicht einmal dies können sie in ihrer ganzen Bedeutung erfassen. Schon können neue Informationen nicht länger warten – sie krallen sich in ihren Augen fest, nur um schon von den nächsten weggestossen zu werden – so wie Passagiere in einer überfüllten U-bahn.

Meine Malerei erzählt Geschichten über die Schönheit des Lichts und der Farben in einem Moment der angehaltenen Zeit. Ohne konzeptionellen Non-Sense oder ultra- superneue Ideen.

Einfach nur Malen. Öl auf Leinwand. So wie es Generationen von Künstlern vor mir schon taten. Gleich und doch ein bisschen anders. Subjektiver. Weil Malen eine sehr persönliche Erfahrung ist.

Katia Krasnaya (ursprünglich Slepkoneva) wurde in Leningrad (heutzutage Sankt-Petersburg) 1985 geboren. Seit ihrer Kindheit interessierte sie sich für das Zeichnen und später auch für die Malerei. Als sie 15 Jahre alt war, ging sie zur Nekrasov Schule, wo sie Englisch studierte, um Sprachlehrerin zu werden. Nach der Schule ging sie zur Alexander Herzen Universität, wo sie Kunst studierte. Jedoch schliess sie ihre Ausbildung nicht ab, weil sie  mit der Institution nicht Zurecht kam. Jedenfalls fand sie ihren Weg: "Ich habe angefangen, beruflich zu malen, als ich 22-24 war. Fast alles begeistert mich. Ich teile meine Inspiration durch Typen. Der erste ist natürlich, wenn Sie alle Gestalten und die Breite unseres Planeten von Tieren zu Orkanen sehen. Der zweite, ist mit der Musik, dem Kino und dem allem zwischen dem Gott und Menschen, die Entwicklung selbst, das Ergebnis künstlerisch. Sie werden mit der Energie des Prozesses gefüllt. Und der letzte - die Leute, immer reichend und ihre Egos findend. Und es ist diejenige der stärksten Motivationsinspirationen. "

Geboren wurde Pavel Brat am 8. Mai 1987 in Woronesch, Russland.  Seine erste Ausstellung fand  im Februar 2007 zusammen mit der Künstlergruppe "uncontrolled overtones" ("NP") statt. Nach Auflösung dieser Gruppe, hat er sich den Situationisten angeschlossen und an einer Reihe künstlerischer Tätigkeiten und Aufführungen namens "stolen bread" ("KH") teilgenommen. Im Juli 2008 folgte seine erste Soloausstellung. Im August 2010 zog er nach St. Petersburg, wo er zurzeit lebt und im Studio "Küche" (KUHNYA) in Belinsky arbeitet. Pavel Brat ist ein Absolvent des St. Petersburger Bildungsprogramms PRO ARTE Stiftung für Kultur und Künste. Er wurde 2013 für den Sergey Kuryokhin Kunstpreis  in der Kategorie "Best Work of Visual Art" nominiert.
