Robbins, who was guest speaker at the event, recapped some of MCLB Albany’s history as it relates to many of the natural inhabitants and vegetation, which have been preserved over the years.
Recapping an era during his tour of duty at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, retired Marine Warrant Officer Donald Dally, shares stories of his wild-game hunting experiences and the installation’s wildlife population to dozens in attendance at the installation’s monthly Veterans Breakfast, recently. A law enforcement officer, Marine Corps Police Department, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, scans the identification card of a driver entering the base using the RAPIDGate system. The new scanners added an additional layer of security for base residents, personnel and patrons on the installation and went into full effect for motorists seeking access at MCLB Albany’s sentry checkpoints, May 1.

November represents a time of celebration for Marines past and present, who have served and sacrificed in their beloved Corps. What better way to wrap up the Marine Corps’ 241-year legacy, than with a bit of history on the “distinctive dress blue uniform,” which is worn in honor and with pride. Semper Fi, Marines. The Fallen Comrade Table stands as a reminder of those who are still missing in action and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. The table is set for one, however there are many represented by the single chair.
Phillip Partin, fire chief (fourth from right), and Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany’s Fire and Rescue team continue to show their support in the fight against breast cancer by wearing pink T-shirts during the observance month. Although the month of October is set aside annually to raise awareness of the illness, health officials provide ongoing updates and educational resources for detecting and mitigating potential risks.
