McClinton elected secretary/treasurer of Philadelphia Delegation in Pa. House

HARRISBURG, Nov. 16 – State Rep. Joanna McClinton, D-Phila./Delaware, has been elected secretary/treasurer of the Philadelphia County Delegation for the 2017-18 legislative session.

McClinton was first elected to serve the 191st Legislative District in August 2015. She was elected to her first full term last week.

She will join the delegation's leadership team of Chairwoman Maria Donatucci and Vice Chairman Jason Dawkins.

All three were chosen by delegation members during a reorganizational meeting on Tuesday.

The Philadelphia Delegation is comprised of more than 20 representatives that serve Philadelphia, providing an opportunity to work together to improve the city and all of Pennsylvania.

"I am honored to have been chosen by my peers to serve in this leadership position," McClinton said. "The delegation has been a strong voice for the city, its residents and Pennsylvanians all across the Commonwealth who are concerned about educating our children, job creation and empowering our communities."
