ZEE grabs Bollywood blockbuster Aitraaz

The rivalry between the top UK Asian TV channels has
taken another turn today. Responding to last week’s
announcement by B4U Movies who have secured a handful of
this year’s big movies, ZEE has come forward by
announcing the acquisition of their mega movie to be
screened shortly on ZEE Network.

The movie in question is this year’s blockbuster Diwali
release Aitraaz starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor
and Priyanka Chopra. The movie has turned out to be a
mega hit thanks to its raunchy and adult theme
storyline. A date for the screening of the premiere has
not been confirmed.

Aitraaz was released last month and looks likely to be
shown as part of ZEE Network’s ten year anniversary
celebrations in March next year. Other movies ZEE have
secured the rights of are Taalash, which incidentally
also stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor and Bombay
starring Manisha Koiralla.
