EAATS WELCOME LETTER. If you are attending an EAATS course, you will receive a welcome letter specific to your particular training via enterprise e-mail. Students with an ATRRS class reservation will receive a welcome letter at their enterprise e-mail address or home of record as listed in ATRRS, approximately 45-days in advance of the class start date. The students unit Training/Readiness POC must ensure that the Soldiers email address is current and complete when submitting the ATRRS application in order to receive valuable information concerning their course. If you did not receive the letter, please click on the course specific welcome Letter tab on the Eastern AATS website: https://eaats.ng.mil/ or call us at 717-861-9988/9864 to receive one. The contents of the welcome letter should be read and followed. Please contact the Eastern AATS prior to arrival if you have any questions. Contact numbers are listed on the web site. You must arrive at the Eastern AATS dormitory (Bldg 19-109) not later than 2000 hours on the report date shown on your orders. If you have an emergency situation that precludes you from reporting by the prescribed time, contact the dormitory prior to 2000 hours at 717-861-9159, to arrange for a room key. Driving directions and maps are in the Student Guide on the Eastern AATS website. Inprocessing is held at 0700 hours on the course start date in the Eastern AATS Auditorium (Bldg 19-117). The uniform for all students during inprocessing is the Army Improved Physical Fitness Uniform (IPFU), unless otherwise noted under course special information below. ALL Students must provide duty orders, temporary and/or permanent physical profile documentation, waivers, and course specific administrative requirements during inprocessing. Prior to arriving at the Eastern AATS, you should ensure you meet the height and weight standards of AR 600-9. Individuals not meeting these standards may be returned to home station without training IAW AR 600-9 and current DA policies. A memorandum will be sent to your State Adjutant General explaining why you were denied enrollment. Dining facilities are available on Fort Indiantown Gap at no charge for enlisted personnel only (Note: Enlisted students in Flight Courses, NGB-EFEC- 47 and 600-ASIN1, require per diem). Per Diem for flight course students and all other officer courses at FTIG is $46.00 per day for rations only. Rental cars are highly recommended for all flight and officer courses. The Eastern AATS does not provide transportation from the schoolhouse or to the airport. Taxi service is available at the airport. The cost is approximately $110.00 (one-way). For Enlisted Courses, check-in and billeting are in different locations; you may want to keep the taxi until you get to your dorm room. Departure transportation arrangements, to include airline flights from Harrisburg International Airport, should not be made prior to the scheduled end date of the course. Soldiers attending Enlisted Training courses (SLC, ALC, MOS Transition And Reclassification) will be required to sign for a 7 or 15 passenger GSA van. IAW AR 600-55 para. 2-1 and 2-3, soldiers will have: - a valid state drivers license and - a valid OF 346 (US Government Motor Vehicle Operators Identification Card) or a valid DA Form 5984-E (Operators Permit) with GSA qualification. All Students planning on operating a motorcycle on Ft. Indiantown Gap will provide proof of completion of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course at inprocessing IAW AR 385-10 para 11-9, b, (1). Students must bring sufficient funds to defray expenses that may be incurred while traveling to and attending EAATS courses. All students should have a government travel credit card. Billeting is reserved for all course attendees at FTIG at no charge. The EAATS provides government quarters at no cost for enlisted and officer personnel. 2. All students attending officer courses and aviator flight courses, to include enlisted Soldiers attending 600-ASIN1 (UH-60) and NGB-EFEC-47, must have rations unavailable marked on their orders. A POV or rental car with "in and around mileage" not to exceed 20 miles per day is highly recommended. C. CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT: Unit commanders are responsible for ensuring their Soldier is properly clothed and equipped while attending all courses at tags. Physical fitness training will be performed during all NCOES courses; the official uniform is the IPFU. It gets very cold in Pennsylvania during the winter months, please plan accordingly and bring cold weather gear. D. HEIGHT/WEIGHT POLICY: IAW AR 350-1, all Soldiers attending institutional training courses are expected to meet the physical fitness standards of this regulation and body fat standards IAW AR 600-9. Soldiers flagged for APFT failure or weight control will not be selected, scheduled, or attend institutional training courses. Soldiers attending military schools and institutional training courses, in either a PCS or TDY statue, which require preparation of a DA Form 1059 will be administered height and weight screening as a mandatory course requirement. E. TEMPORARY PROFILES: IAW AR 350-1, Soldiers with temporary profiles that are not a result of operation deployment prevent full participation in a course will be removed from school attendance consideration by their immediate commander until the temporary profile is removed. Students attending flight courses will bring at a minimum the following items: 1. Orders 2. Signed copy of DA Form 759 (most recent) and a signed copy of current DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying) 3. Physical Profiles (temporary or permanent) and all approved waivers as appropriate. 4. IPFU and flight uniforms will be required with two sets of gloves, ID tags, flight helmet with NVG modification, kneeboard, aircraft -10 operators manual, ATM, and an ALSE vest with a current inspection. All students must leave their flares at home station. 5. During the months of September through April, students MUST bring appropriate flight approved cold weather clothing and equipment (i.e. long underwear, jackets, pants, gloves, boots, etc.) EAATS does NOT operate a CIF and therefore does NOT have the capability to provide any of these items. ***All rated and nonrated crewmembers attending a flight course at Eastern AATS are required to hand carry their CAFRS, PCS electronic flight record file and their original Individual Flight Record Folder (IFRF) to in-processing, IAW with Change 1 of FM 3-04.300. Prior to the crewmembers departure from home station, units will perform a PCS closeout with a remark to record the scheduled course as the reason for the closeout (i.e., Records closed 03 Mar 10 due to attending UH-60 IPC.) The closeout will be digitally signed in CAFRS by the commander, printed and then placed in the IFRF. After performing the PCS function in CAFRS, the CAFRS PCS file will be copied to a CD and placed inside the IFRF for transfer to the training location. UH-60 Aviator Qualification (2C-SIB2/2C-153D): Purpose: To qualify select Active Army and Reserve Component Commissioned, Warrant Officer, Department of the Army Civilians (DACs), select Department of Defense (DOD) personnel and select Foreign Military aviators for duty as a pilot in the UH-60 helicopter. Course Scope: This course is designed to provide the student with the necessary skills and knowledge required to achieve pilot qualification in the UH-60 helicopter. Includes training in the mental and physical skills required for the accomplishment of pilot duties through instruction in aircraft systems, navigation and command instrument systems, combat skills, flight training, mission planning, and safety. Aviators who are night vision device (NVD) qualified will receive NVD qualification in the UH-60. Course Prerequisites: 1. Must be assigned or on orders to a unit equipped or will be equipped with UH-60 helicopters. 2. Must be qualified as a rotary wing aviator. 3. Must have a current Instrument Evaluation within previous 12 months. 4. Must be night vision goggle qualified. 5. Must have performed Pilot duties in aircraft category in previous 180 days. 6. Possess a current flight physical and a current DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying). 7. Possess an Individual Flight Record Certificate (DA Form 759.) Waivers: Waiver authority for course prerequisites is the EAATS Commander. A letter of recommendation must be provided from the current or losing Battalion Commander, or higher, including sufficient background information addressing each prerequisite requirement not met to support the approval process. Requests for waivers must be submitted thru ARNG-AVO to the appropriate EAATS waiver authority at least 2 weeks prior to the class start date. CH-47F Aviator Qualification (2C-SIC3/154F/ASIC3) Purpose: To qualify selected commissioned officers, warrant officers, allied officers and Department of the Army Civilians (DACs) as rotary-wing aviators for duty as a pilot in the CH-47F helicopter. Course Scope: This course is designed to provide the student with the necessary skills and knowledge required to achieve pilot qualification in the CH-47F helicopter. Includes training in the mental and physical skills required for the accomplishment of pilot duties through instruction in aircraft systems, navigation and command instrument systems, combat skills, flight training, mission planning, and safety. Aviators who are night vision device (NVD) qualified will receive NVD qualification in the CH-47F. Aviators not NVD qualified will receive NVD familiarization. Course Prerequisites: Active Army or Reserve Component commissioned and warrant officers, allied officers and DA civilians qualified as a rotary-wing aviator and assigned or on orders to a unit equipped with CH-47D helicopters. Possess a current flight physical and instrument qualification. Have in possession a current Flight Record (DA Form 759) and DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying). CH-47 Flight Engineer Course (EFEC-47) Purpose: To train enlisted crewmembers as Crew Chiefs in the CH-47 aircraft. Course Scope: Academic, maintenance, and flight instruction to train enlisted crewmembers as crew chiefs in the duties and responsibilities of a CH-47 crew chief. Training will be conducted in the CH-47 aircraft lAW the ATP and applicable regulations and manuals. Course Prerequisites: ARNG aircrew member assigned to a command equipped with CH-47 aircraft. Must be currently qualified in a 15U MOS. Must be on current ARNG flying status orders. Must possess a current flight physical DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying) and flight records (DA Form 759) Special Information: Rations are unavailable. Waiver authority for course prerequisites is Eastern AATS Commander. If required, student must obtain approved waiver before course start date. A rental car or POV is recommended with "in and around mileage" not to exceed 20 miles per day for this course. Students should contact the school 30 days before course start to receive pertinent class information. Upon request from the unit, a student can receive 2 weeks NVG training following the end of the official course. A memorandum from the Commander requesting this training must be provided and orders must be extended to reflect this additional time. UH-60 Non-Rated Crewmember Instructor Course (600-ASIN1 (UH-60)) Purpose: To qualify selected enlisted personnel as non-rated crewmember instructors for the UH-60 helicopter. Course Scope: Course consists of flight and academic instruction in aircrew training program management (ATP), pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight tasks; tactical flight training tasks; aircraft systems; malfunction analysis; aviation medicine; night vision goggles; and aviation safety subjects. Student will receive flight methods of instruction training, fundamentals of instructing, aircrew coordination instructor qualification, aircrew training program management, and academic training. Course Prerequisites: Active Army and Reserve Component (RC) personnel in the grades of E5/E6/E7 qualified as a UH-60 non-rated crewmember with a minimum of one year experience as a UH-60 crewmember. Have logged a minimum of 150 flight hours while serving as a UH-60 non-rated crewmember. Must be NVG qualified in UH-60. Must be serving in an Aircraft Crewmember Standardization/Flight Instructor position, be on Flight Status, and possess a current flight physical. Have in possession DA Form 759, DA Form 7122-R (lATF), DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying), and Standard Form 88. 68W must be a graduate of the flight medic course from Fort Rucker and awarded the F3 ASI. Special Information: Rations are unavailable. Waiver authority for course prerequisites is Eastern AATS Commander. If required, student must obtain approved waiver before course start date. A rental car or POV is recommended with "in and around mileage" not to exceed 20 miles per day for this course. UH-60A/L Instructor Pilot Course (2C-F194/SQIC (UH-60A/L)) Purpose: To provide selected commissioned officers, warrant officers, and Department of the Army Civilians (DACs) aviators with the required skills and knowledge to demonstrate proficiency as instructor pilots capable of teaching and evaluating academic and flight instruction in the UH-60 aircraft. Course Scope: Course consists of flight and academic instruction in theory of flight, instructing fundamentals, aircrew training, regulations, safety, automatic flight control system, power train, hydraulic and electrical systems, malfunction analysis, and night academics; methods of instruction for contact maneuvers, tactics and night vision goggle maneuvers, dual and single engine operations, emergency procedures, and Command Instrument System (CIS) operations. Sufficient depth of knowledge will be gained to enable graduate to teach academics and flight instruction in the UH-60 aircraft. Course Prerequisites: Active Army and Reserve Component commissioned officers, warrant officers, and DA civilians qualified in the UH-60 helicopter. Must have a minimum of 500 hours in rotary wing aircraft, of which 250 hours of pilot time in the UH-60 helicopter, and have logged 50 hours of PIC time in type/design. Must have a current instrument qualification and be night vision goggle qualified. Must possess a current flight physical examination with upslip which will not expire during the course and be assigned or on orders to a unit equipped with UH-60 helicopters. Must possess current flight records (DA Form 759), personnel qualification record (DA Form 2, Part 1), and Standard Form 88. Must have performed pilot duties in the UH-60 during the past 180 days. A letter of recommendation by the Battalion Commander is required to attend the course. UH-60 Aviator Standardization Course (EASC-60) Purpose: Train qualified ARNG UH-60 pilots in all base tasks in order to complete a UH-60 currency flight. Course Scope: Course consists of academic training in aircraft systems, aircrew coordination, performance planning, regulations and night flight. Flight training is performed under VMC/IMC/simulated IMC and includes day/night/NVG flight techniques IAW the ATP, ATM, and applicable regulations and manuals. All base and instrument tasks required for aircraft refresher training will be trained to standard. 2000-series tasks are not normally trained during this course. However, these tasks may be approved for training by the EAATS Commander after a formal request is received from the requesting unit. Course Prerequisites: Army National Guard aviators assigned to a command authorized UH-60 aircraft, UH-60 qualified, and on current Army National Guard service orders. UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot Course (4D-SQIG (UH-60)) Purpose: To provide Active Army and Reserve Component commissioned and warrant officers, allied officers and DA civilians the technical training required for performance of duties as a UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot. Course Scope: To provide information and training on UH-60 maintenance troubleshooting and test flight procedures. Course Prerequisites: Active Army and Reserve Component commissioned officers, warrant officers, select Allied Officers, and DA civilians qualified in the UH-60 helicopter. Must have a minimum of 500 hours in rotary wing aircraft, of which 250 hours of pilot time in the UH-60 helicopter, and have logged 50 hours of PIC time in the UH-60 helicopter. Must possess a current flight physical examination (DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying)) which will not expire during the course and be assigned or on orders to a unit equipped with UH-60 helicopters . Must possess current flight records (DA Form 759). Must have successfully completed the Maintenance Manager Course of instruction. A letter of recommendation by the Battalion Commander is required to attend the course. CH-47F Aviator Qual/IP Transition Course (2C-SIC3/154F (T)) Purpose: To provide Active Army and Reserve Component Commissioned and Warrant Officers, DA civilians, contractor or foreign military personnel the technical training required for performance of duties as a CH-47F Pilot. Course Scope: Provide the CH-47D qualified aviator with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve pilot qualification in the CH-47F helicopter. Training is focused on new and enhanced equipment in the CH-47F helicopter. Includes training in the mental and physical skills required for the accomplishment of pilot duties through instruction in aircraft systems, communication, navigation, flight training, mission planning, combat skills, crew coordination, and safety. Course Prerequisites: Active Army and Reserve Component Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, Department of the Army Civilian (DAC), contractor or foreign military personnel. Must be CH-47D qualified IAW AR 95-1. Must be trained on 714 engine operations. Possess a current flight physical and instrument qualification. Have in possession DA Form 2, DA Form 759, and DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying). GENERAL. 1. Students attending NCOES courses or MOS transition courses will bring at a minimum the following items: Orders, ACUs, IPFU and personal hygiene items. Soldiers with a permanent designator of 3 or 4 in their physical profile must bring a copy of DA Form 3349, dated Feb 04 and the results of their military medical review board (MMRB). Soldiers attending MOS producing courses (15T2/30, 15T10, and 15U2/30) must bring with them a copy of their DD Form 2-1 and PQR to verify MM Score and PULHES data. 2. For CH-47 Helicopter Repairer Supervisor ALC (552-15U30-C45) PH III and UH-60 Helicopter Repairer Supervisor ALC (552-15T30-C45) PH III the APFT is no longer a graduation requirement. ***Packing List/Uniform: Duty uniform is the ACU and the Army Improved Physical Fitness Uniform(IPFU). 4. For 15T2/30 and 15U2/30 transition courses: Physical demands rating of very heavy physical profile (PULHES) of at least 222211, normal color vision, and a minimum score of 105 in aptitude area MM in ASVAB tests administered prior to 2 January 2002, minimum score of 102 on tests administered on and after 2 January 2002 and prior to 1 July 2004, or a minimum score of 104 for tests administered on and after 1 July 2004. Applicants must also hold a 15M, 15R, 15S, 15T, 15U, 15V or 15Z MOS. The following MOSs must apply for waivers through NGB to USAACE Aviation Proponency (http://www.rucker.army.mil/usaace/aviationproponency.html): 15B, D, F, G, H, K, J, N, X, Y. Course Prerequisites: Enlisted personnel qualified in MOS 15B/D/F/G/H/N/R/T/U/Y. IAW ALARACT 126/2014, SSD-2 replaces ALC CC and is a prerequisite to attend ALC. Soldiers must complete course 2G-F94V3, Commanders Safety Course prior to, or during this course IAW TRADOC OPORD 10-018, Composite Risk Management Integration Plan dated 24 Sep 2010. CMF15 Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor SLC (552-CAM-C46) Note: ATRRS list course length of 4 weeks. Actual course length is 2 weeks and 5 days. Purpose: To provided selected enlisted personnel with a working knowledge of those duties required to perform MOS 15K/R/S/T/U/X/Y40 Supervisor. Course Scope: The aircraft maintenance supervisor oversees the aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM), and depot maintenance on aircraft systems and components. Other major duties are: supervises aircraft component repair and technical inspection activities; determines man-hours, personnel, parts and facility requirements to repair aircraft components and associated equipment; plans aircraft maintenance areas, component repair shops, and facilities. Instructs subordinates in aircraft systems/component repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards, and operational polices. Maintains supply economy and discipline. Prepares evaluations, special reports and records pertaining to aircraft component repair and related activities. Recommends and administers plans and policies. Course Prerequisites: Reserve Component (RC) enlisted personnel (SSG or SFCs)qualified in MOS 15B/D/F/G/H/M/N/R/S/T/U/ and 15K. If a soldier is not formally resident school trained in their MOS, a waiver has to be requested from Aviation Proponency at Ft. Rucker (through NBG, POC is MSG James Newcomb) prior to coming to school IAW DA PAM 611-21 and TRADOC Reg 350-10. Soldiers must have completed all phases of their respective BNCOC/ALC and have graduated from course: 1-250-C49-3 (DL)(STRUCTURED SELF-DEVELOPMENT - LEVEL 3)prior to attending SLC. Course Scope: Course emphasis is on aircraft maintenance technical training. Instruction covers aircraft maintenance procedures that will provide the student with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform UH-60 maintenance: replacing system and subsystem assemblies and components; performing limited maintenance operational checks, scheduled inspections, and troubleshooting; using and maintaining ground support equipment required for maintenance and ground handling; and using applicable publications. Course Prerequisites: Active Army and Reserve Component enlisted personnel MOSQ in 15R, 15U, 15V, 15S or 15M only and who are transitioning to MOS 15T. MOS 15B/D/F/G/H/J/K/X/Y cannot attend this course. They must attend either 552-15T10 (R) or 600-15T10 courses. Instruction covers aircraft maintenance procedures that will provide the student with the skills and knowledge necessary, to perform UH-60 maintenance: replacing system and subsystem assemblies and components; servicing and lubricating components and obtaining oil samples; performing limited maintenance operational checks, scheduled inspections, and troubleshooting; using and maintaining ground support equipment and common: special and precision tools required for maintenance and ground handling; using hand and arm signals to guide aircraft; using applicable forms, records, and publications; and using the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A). Course Prerequisites: Non aviation E4(P) and above must meet the prerequisites for MOS 15T in accordance with DA Pam 611-21, para b. that states "The UH-60 helicopter repairer must be in the grade of SPC (non-promotable) or below unless they have held an aviation maintenance/component repairer CMF 15 MOS for a minimum of 12 months at skill level 1 or 2, 18 months at skill level 3 or 24 months at skill level 4. Waivers and/or exceptions must be routed through NGB-AVS, Attention MSG James Newcomb, and approved by Cdr, USAACE, ATTN: ATZQ-AP, Ft Rucker, AL 36362-5000. Instrument Flight Examiner Preparatory (EIFE-P) Purpose: Prepare Army aviators to attend the Rotary Wing Instrument Flight Examiner course at USAACE, Fort Rucker, AL. Course Scope: This course consists of simulator IFR flight and academic instruction. Academic and flight instruction is conducted in a manner which meets ATM proficiency standards. Course Prerequisites: Army aviator who is current as an Instructor Pilot. The aviator must possess current aviation service orders, and possess a current instrument qualification. Waivers of prerequisites are considered only when the individual shows promise of being able to successfully complete the course. B. The EAATS Form 49-1 (Prerequisite Checklist/Waiver Request) will be utilized for all flight courses.
