Hareesh Perumanna is an actor who is active in malayalam television and film industry. He is best known among the television viewers as ‘Jaliyan Kanaran’, a character her portrayed in skits played in ‘Comedy Festival’. He has also acted in films like ‘Ulhasa Committee’, ‘Kunji Ramayanam’, ‘Two Countries’, ‘Salt Mango Tree’ and ‘Hello Namaste’.
Hareesh was born at Perumanna, Kozhikode. He studied in Ganapathy Boys School, Kozhikode. Hareesh is married to Dhanya, a teacher. The couple is blessed with a son named Dhyan Hari.
Hareesh worked as Cinema Theatre Operator Assistant and also few other jobs before becoming a stage performer. He started his career as a mimicry artist in Calicut Friends, a popular mimicry troupe. He later became a part of another troupe ‘Calicut Super Jokes’. He finally landed in ‘V4 Calicut’, another prominent mimicry troupe. Hareesh along with other team members Devaraj, Nirmal Palazhi, Siraj and Pradeep took part in the comedy reality show ‘Comedy Festival’ aired in Mazhavil Manorama. He gained popularity through his character role as ‘Jailanwala Kanaran’.
His character truly created waves across the malayalam tv spectators. Hareesh even won the best comedian award for his acting brilliance. He made his big screen debut with the film ‘Ulsaha Committee’ directed by Akku Akbar. Hareesh reprised the role of ‘Jalian Kanaran’ in the film. He later acted in films like ‘Sapthasree Thaskaraha’, ‘Neena’, ‘Acha Dhin’, ‘Second Class Yathra’, ‘Rajamma @ Yahoo’, ‘Ben’, ‘Kunji Ramayanam’, ‘Two Countries’, ‘Ella Chettante Eshtam Pole’, ‘Salt Mango’, ‘Hello Namaste’ and Appuram Bengal Eppuram Thiruvathamkoor’.
