Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Rodger Smith
Rodger Smith played hockey in his hometown of Ottawa from 1919 to 1923 before moving down to the States to play for the Pittsburgh Yellowjackets of the USAHA. After two seasons, he signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a free agent and made his NHL debut in the 1925-26 season.

After five seasons in Pittsburgh, the team moved to Philadelphia and Smith followed to play the 1930-31 season. During that year, Smith was traded back to Pittsburgh's IAHL team. He played one more season in 1931-32 in the ECHL before retiring from the game.
