Pradeep Atluri, MD, PhD
Dr. Atluri is a Harvard- and MIT-educated, Cornell-trained, board-certified psychiatrist in private practice in Midtown Manhattan. He specializes in combined used of medications and psychodynamic psychotherapy to help people suffering from anxiety, mood, attention deficit, personality, and addiction problems.
Dr. Atluri is unusual among clinical psychiatrists because of his extensive training and experience in neuroscience. Dr. Atluri has authored or co-authored papers published in the peer-reviewed journals Cerebral Cortex, Biophysical Journal, Journal of Neuroscience, and Nature Neuroscience. Dr. Atluri is working on a book elucidating the neurobiology of mental illness.
Dr. Atluri specializes in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, which is also known as Insight-Oriented, Expressive, or Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and has been influenced by Humanistic, Existential, and Mindfulness-based psychotherapies.

CONSULTATION: Initial visits are always on a one-time, consultation-only basis; no doctor-patient relationship is established until both patient and Dr. Atluri agree that this is appropriate.
FINANCIAL: No insurance accepted. Bitcoin, Monero, Cash, Check, Credit, or Debit payment due at time of service unless otherwise agreed. Patient responsible for submission of any health insurance claim for reimbursement of out-of-network outpatient medical or mental health care. Overdue payments may incur monthly interest and collections surcharges.
CANCELLATION: Requires one business day's notice (and at least 24 hours) otherwise charged full fee. Rescheduling requests considered.
