Lt. Colonel Lennox returns.

Josh Duhamel will be reprising his role in the next Transformers movie.

The film's social channels announced the actor's return as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox in the newly titled Transformers: The Last Knight. Duhamel had played the character in the first three films, which starred Shia LaBeouf, but was not in the fourth and most recent film, which instead starred Mark Wahlberg.

Wahlberg will also be reprising his role as Cade Yeager. He'll be joined by franchise newcomers Isabela Moner and Jarrod Carmichael. Michael Bay will also be returning to direct for a production start of June 6 in Detroit.

The Transformers franchise has brought in a collective $3.7 billion. This fifth movie in the franchise will be released on June 23, 2017, and the current plan is for it to be followed up by a Bumblebee standalone spin-off in 2018 and then the so-far untitled Transformers 6 in 2019.
