He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He played in the summer at Leones de Santo Domingo in LNB league in Dominican Republic, but left the team in August. In 19 LNB games he averaged 12.9ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.6apg. #1. This week's number one is former international forward Trevor Ariza (203-85, college: UCLA, currently plays in NBA). He led Houston Rockets to a victory against the Toronto Raptors (25-13) 129-122 in the NBA in Sunday night's game.
Ariza scored 17 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
The Houston Rockets have a very good 31-9 record this season.
It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row.
Ariza has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 12.5ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.2apg, 2.1spg, 2FGP: 56.8%(67-118), 3FGP: 37.8% and FT: 69.6%.
Ariza has a dual citizenship: Dominican Republic and American.
He played for the Dominican Republic senior national team twelve years ago.
Strangely Ariza has never played in Dominican Republic.
#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international swingman Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul, currently plays in Turkey). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Tofas (6-8) in their last game. Despite Mejia's very good performance Tofas lost 79-84 on the road to the higher-ranked (#8) Yesilgiresun Bld.
He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds. Mejia also added 5 assists and 4 steals in 46 minutes.
They ended the series of three consecutive victories.
Mejia has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.9apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 61.8%(47-76), 3FGP: 43.9% and FT: 73.3% in 14 games he played so far.
He is another player who holds two passports: Dominican Republic and American.
Mejia played for the Dominican Republic national team in 2005.
Apparently he has never played in Dominican Republic.
#3. The Dominican Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was former U17 international center Rodrigo Madera (208-90, currently plays in Chile). He led CD Castro to a victory over the ninth-ranked Las Animas (14-18) crushing them 83-51 in the Chilean Liga Nacional last Sunday.
Madera was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 15 rebounds. Madera also added 4 blocks in 33 minutes.
Club Deportes Castro (1-1) is placed third in the Liga Nacional.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Madera's overall stats are: 5.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 2FGP: 52.7%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 66.7% in 26 games.
He has both Dominican Republic and Chilean nationalities.
Madera played for the Dominican Republic U17 national team ten years ago.
#4. Forward Gregorio Adon (198-91, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Marin's surprising victory against the seventh-ranked Leyma Basquet (11-8) 73-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Sunday night's game.
He recorded 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Marin Ence PeixeGalego (4-15) is placed 16th in the LEB Gold.

#2.Alfred Horford (208-F/C-86, college: Florida, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a Boston Celtics' victory against the Philadelphia 76ers (10-25) 110-106 in the NBA last Friday.
Horford recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 4 assists and 2 blocks.
The Boston Celtics have a solid 23-15 record this season.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
It's Horford's first year with the team.
This season Horford has very high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg, 6.7rpg, 5.0apg and 2.0bpg.
#3.Edgar Sosa (190-PG-88, college: Louisville, currently plays in Italy) could not help Juvecaserta (7-8) in their last game. Despite Sosa's very good performance Juvecaserta was badly defeated 95-77 on the road by the higher-ranked (#6) Banco di Srd.

#5.O'Darien Bassett (189-G-86, college: Troy, currently plays in South Korea) helped Goyang Orions win their game against the closely-ranked Anyang KGC (20-8) 85-69 in the South Korean KBL in Wednesday night's game.
He scored 16 points and added 4 assists in 28 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Goyang Orions (19-9) are placed third in the KBL.
Bassett has very impressive stats this year: 15.9ppg, 3.8rpg and 3.6apg in 28 games.
He also holds two passports: Dominican Republic and American.

#6.Juan Guerrero (201-F-93, agency: Basket Management Solutions, currently plays in Uruguay) was not able to secure a victory for Cordon (0-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the fifth-placed Cordon was edged 76-74 in a derby game by the second-ranked Atletico Welcome in the Promocional 2 group.

Despite Carter's good performance the bottom-ranked TED Kolejliler lost 75-87 on their home court in Ankara to the higher-ranked (#12) Trabzonspor.
He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 37 minutes.
