Welcome to the Office of Acquisition Management and Policy

The Office of Acquisition Management and Policy (OAMP) is dedicated to providing leadership, advice, and oversight in acquisition and financial advisory services to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as it crosses new frontiers of science and medicine to improve the health and health care delivery to everyone across this nation and the globe. OAMP strives to ensure that the best value in products and services, ranging from test tubes and office supplies to complex research and development, and biodefense, are acquired to support agency mission activities and objectives. OAMP's services are delivered through the OAMP Office of the Director, the Division of Acquisition Policy and Evaluation, the Division of Financial Advisory Services and the Division of Simplified Acquisition Policy and Services, which manages acquisition-related training, contract data and contractor performance, implements simplified acquisition policy, administers and oversees the NIH Purchase Card and BPA Programs, provides technical advice and assistance to both the simplified acquisition and contract community, and analyzes and evaluates acquisition functions and methods. This Web site serves as a gateway to those services and resources.

The goal of our new site is to ensure we have a user-friendly, customer focused web-page, designed to allow you easy access to our products, services and policies; part of our continuing efforts to enhance the quality of our service delivery to you. Please email us with any questions, suggestions, or requests to the OAMP Web master.
