The Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy (Conservancy) is a primary state agency in the implementation of ecosystem restoration in the Delta and supports efforts that advance environmental protection and the economic well-being of Delta residents. The Conservancy collaborates and cooperates with local communities and others parties to preserve, protect, and restore the natural resources, economy, and agriculture of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and Suisun Marsh.

Delta Conservancy Board Meeting – January 25, 2016

The next Conservancy Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Conservancy’s office in West Sacramento.

The agenda includes an update on the Proposition 1 Grant Program and a Board work session on the Update to the Conservancy’s Strategic Plan. The agenda and board materials can be found here.

California Climate Change Symposium

The California Natural Resources Agency, the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, and Cal EPA will host the California Climate Change Symposium January 25-26, 2017 in Sacramento, CA. The Delta Conservancy is an endorsing organization

The event will bring together 400 of the state’s leaders in climate-sensitive sectors, such as water, energy, transportation, and natural resources — both in the public and private sectors. The program will offer practical applications of regional climate science to improve the state’s resilience to a changing climate.

Delta Conservancy Updating its Strategic Plan

On October 19th and 26th, the Conservancy held two public workshops to set its land ownership/management, economic development and water rights priorities through 2022. The presentation from the workshops can be found here.
