MD iMAP brings together decades of work on spatial database development into a shared architecture that promotes collaboration, coordination and communication amongst Municipal, County, Regional, State and Federal government activities. Council on Open Data
The Council on Open Data was established by the pdf iconOpen Data Act in 2014. This Council consists of individuals committed to promoti​ng policy related to transparency, availability and quality of both spatial and non-spatial data in Maryland.

Technical Committee
The Technical Committee implements policies related to the transparency, availability and quality of spatial data in Maryland. The MD iMAP Technical Committee is comprised of GIS professionals from the State, Regional, County and Municipal levels of government, Academia and the Priva​te Sector.

Maryland State Geographic Information Committee (MSGIC)
MSGIC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization representing Maryland's GIS community at the State, Local, Federal, Educational, Research Institution and Private Sector levels. MSGIC works to strengthen GIS in Maryland and contributes to many of the initiatives alongside MD iMAP and the Council for Open Data.

TUgis - Maryland's Geospatial Conference
TUgis is Maryland's Geospatial Conference and has been held annually for the last 26 years. This one-day conference features hands-on training workshops, dynamic lightning talks and poster sessions and provides opportunities to network with colleagues throughout the GIS community in Maryland.
