50 Cent protege and Compton, California native The Game has started a winning streak on the Canadian album charts.

The new hip-hop star's latest album "The Documentary," powered by the hit single "How We Do," hit the No. 1 spot for a second consecutive week with sales of 15,700, according to data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

Meanwhile, Green Day's "American Idiot" (9,400) remained at No. 2, while Gwen Stefani's "Love.Angel.Music.Baby" regained the three positions she lost last week, moving from No. 6 to No. 3.

Eminem's "Encore" and Shania Twain's "Greatest Hits" held steady at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, and Simple Plan's "Still Not Getting Any," sparked by the single "Shut Up," flew up from No. 13 to No. 6.

Quebec artist Annie Villeneuve sank four spots to No. 7, U2's "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" remained at No. 8, The Killers "Hot Fuss" claimed No. 9, and Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" rounded out the top 10.

Notable debuts this week included LeAnn Rimes' "This Woman" at No. 14, Chemical Brothers' "Push the Button" at No. 25 and Nat King Cole's best-of set "The World of Nat King Cole" at No. 39.

In the U.S., Kenny Chesney's "Be As You Are: Songs From An Old Blue Chair" debuted at No. 1, followed by LeAnn Rimes in second, The Game in third, Green Day in fourth, and Eminem in fifth.
