The DC Department of Human Resources (DCHR) announces it’s second of five “Direct Connect” hiring events aimed at connecting District agencies with District residents. The event is FREE, but registration is required for jobseekers.
- Who: All District residents are invited to attend. The event is not restricted to District residents. (Only 1,000 registered attendees will be admitted)
- What: “Direct Connect” will offer District residents the opportunity to meet directly with District agencies and private-sector companies seeking talented candidates in various disciplines ranging from recreation to information technology.

Anyone claiming District residency preference at the time of application should bring a government-issued form of identification and proof of voter registration.

Applicants claiming veteran’s preference should bring a copy of their DD-214.
3. Is 18 to 21 years of age and is currently or was a Child and Family Services (CFSA) foster care recipient within the last five years.

Applicants claiming a foster care preference will need a letter or other documentation from CFSA or the Family Court of D.C. Superior Court showing that they are currently in foster care or showing the date they left court supervision.
