Comptroller Resources for Taxpayers
We recently became aware of a telephone scam involving an individual falsely claiming to represent the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. The caller claims the taxpayer has a tax liability and requests a credit card number. The Comptroller's office will never ask for credit card information over the telephone. If you receive one of these calls, note the telephone number and contact our office immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our office will be CLOSED on Monday, February 20, 2017, in observance of the Presidents' Day holiday. We will reopen for business on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Our regular office hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
